How does rf microneedling work?
Microneedle radiofrequency, as the name suggested, combines two techniques of radiofrequency and microneedling.
Micro-puncturing causes microtrauma which forces the skin to rapidly activate the healing and renewal process.
Radiofrequency heats up deep layers of the skin using energy radio frequency electromagnetic waves. In tissues heated this way, collagen fibres contract which begins the regenerative processes
Combining these two procedures gives much better results than using them separately.

Micro-needle Rf brings very good results in the treatment of stretch marks, acne scars and skin laxity.
The main effect of micro-needle radiofrequency is the improvement of skin quality, its thickening and lifting. The collagen formed after the treatment fills small wrinkles of the face, neck and neckline, not excluding the eye area.
How long does it take for you to see the results?
Immediately after the treatment, collagen fibers shrink, which makes the skin tighter. This, however, cannot be seen with the naked eye. Only a few weeks after the treatment, can you see its real results because in the meantime, new collagen fibers and bonds between them are formed, and the skin becomes firm and elastic.
When can I return to my daily activities?
Usually the very next day after treatment.
What is the procedure of microneedle radiofrequency treatment like?
The treatment area is disinfected, a maniple with a disposable cartridge is moved along it (the disposable cartridge has 25 needles, diamond sharpened, coated with 24k gold), piercing the skin at an appropriately selected depth and time intervals. During piercing, an electromagnetic radio frequency (RF) wave is emitted. One exposure takes no more than a second.
How long does microneedle radiofrequency treatment take?
The duration of the entire treatment procedure depends on the surface of the skin that will be treated. The average time is between 45 to 60 minutes.
When can you undergo microneedle radiofrequency treatment?
You can undergo the microneedle radiofrequency treatment at any time of the year. This provides a decisive advantage over some other treatments, the use of which should be limited only to the autumn and winter months.
What does the skin look like immediately after the treatment?
After the procedure, the skin is red and may appear swollen . In most cases, everything disappears in the next day.
The skin condition will improve over time as a result of regenerative processes.
How often should I undergo a microneedle radiofrequency treatment?
If the purpose of the therapy is to lift and rejuvenate the skin of the face, it is recommended to have 3-4 treatments (depending on the original condition of the skin) at monthly intervals. Sometimes the first treatment gives satisfactory results.
The reduction of acne scars and stretch marks usually requires more treatments.
What are the recommendations after microneedle radiofrequency treatment?
~Wear SPF for several weeks after your treatment. Your skin will be extra sensitive to the sun during this time.
~Use a gentle cleanser after your treatment.
~Avoid wearing makeup until the next day. After 24 hours, you can return to your normal makeup and skin care routine.

RF Lifting
RF LIFTING –
Radio Frequency Skin Tightening
RF lifting is a therapy for age-related changes based on the radio wave method of heating the deep layers of the skin (dermis and hypodermis) under the epidermis (surface layer).
As a result of deep heating to different temperatures (depending on the area and sensitivity of the skin), the fat sublayer becomes thinner, the vessels reflexively dilate, and with the acceleration of blood flow, the metabolism in the skin accelerates. But the main thing is the transformations that occur with collagen: it changes its structure – the long stretched fibers connecting the dermis and epidermis contract, and the skin regains firmness and elasticity. After 21 days, new collagen begins to be intensively produced, providing a long-lasting effect.
As a result, “jowls” are noticeably tightened, eyebrows are raised, nasolabial folds become less pronounced, acne scars and stretch marks are smoothed out and reduced. The orange peel effect disappears. The skin becomes more elastic to the touch, the complexion is evened out: the shadows under the eyes lighten, the yellow tint is replaced by pink.

Electrolysis is a hair removal treatment. A electrologist inserts a thin wire into the hair follicle under the surface of the skin. An electric current moves down the wire to the bottom of the follicle, destroying the hair root. The follicle damage prevents hair from growing and causes the existing hair to fall out.
Electrolysis safely and permanently removes hair from all skin tones. It is the only FDA-approved permanent hair removal treatment. Because electrolysis permanently destroys the growth cells in the hair follicles, the hair will not grow back.
Electrolysis works on any skin and hair type. This is particularly great news for people with fair skin and blonde or red hair tones; for whom laser and IPL aren’t effective at even temporary hair reduction.
Electrolysis is safe, it is cost-effective in comparison to temporary hair removal methods.
The Different Modes of Electrolysis:
- Thermolysis – also known as shortwave, this mode uses high frequency radio energy to destroy the hair follicle and prevent hair regrowth. With this method the current is very short and fast; often less than a second. The heat can be focused to the root of the hair. This helps with improving comfort, for showing less effect on the skin’s surface and for treating more hairs in a unit of time.
- Galvanic – this relies on a chemical reaction to destroy the hair follicle. A slower, longer electrical current reacts with the saline in the follicle to create lye (sodium hydroxide). That chemical destroys the hair follicle. Depending on the strength of the hair the current may run for 3 to 10 minutes in each hair follicle. Galvanic machines can have up to 16 probes. Even so this means less hairs can be treated per unit of time compared to thermolysis.
- Blend – this combines aspects of both Thermolysis and Galvanic. It requires a longer electrical current than with thermolysis of up to 10 seconds or more. This means less hairs are treated during a unit of time.
About Hair Growth Cycles and Treatment Plan Duration:
In order to be able to treat a hair follicle, the electrologist requires a hair to be actively growing. This allows the follicle to be identified and for the probe to be correctly inserted into the follicle. Hence, it is necessary to wait for all growth cycles to appear. As only a portion of hairs are visible at any one time this means it can require treatments over a range of 12 to 18 months for all hairs to be found and treated.
Every individual is different and each area is different in rate of growth and frequency of growth cycles. If you have been removing the hair by tweezing, waxing or threading you have interrupted the natural growth cycle and this will need to be taken into consideration when creating a treatment plan. If you have had laser hair reduction within the last 12 months you may experience prolonged sporadic regrowths of hair as laser can “shock” the follicle into the resting phase for a longer period of time than would normally be seen.
The good news is that for most areas the majority of the hair will grow through within the first 3 to 6 months. You will therefore most likely need the longer and more frequent sessions at the beginning of your treatment. This tapers off to infrequent, short sessions in the end.
During the initial consultation, I will gather a history of the types of methods used for hair removal in the past, will assess your skin and hair, and discuss your options in regards to a treatment plan.

Is the procedure painful?
There may be some minor discomfort from scalp microneedling due to the depth of the needles used. It is useful to take a paracetamol an hour or two prior to your treatment.
